I am getting ready to head to Champaign, Illinois. I am going to celebrate with my friend Julie her victorious battle over lymphoma(in honor of Julianna Banana I will not capitalize the word). Julie is an amazing person who has overcome a lot in her lifetime. She hasn't had it easy and continues to battle on through life with a very positive attitude. I believe, that very much like my son, we can all learn a lot from her.
So, as I was saying, she is having a party at Jupiters in Champaign and there will be several people from my first high school there. I haven't seen these people since I left in October of 1985 so I am nervous. Going alone doesn't ease the nerves either but what are ya' gonna do?
So. I will let everyone know how it goes when I get back. Wish me luck.
